2017 Candidates Forum

On Thursday February 16th 2016 the two incumbents for city council, the four challenging candidates, and over 100 local businesses and residents met in the grand auditorium of San Fernando Middle School. Built in 1914, this auditorium provided a great venue for a lively discussion of the issues facing our city and residents. Moderator and former Assemblyman Richard Katz led the discussion, guided by his 35 years experience in the service of our community and a stack of questions from the audience, he put all 6 of our choices on the hot seat! Immediately after the event snacks and drinks were provided for those in attendance and a chance to meet each candidate personally. Lively discussions went on until after 9pm and all were grateful for the chance to see and decide for themselves who will be the next people to represent our great city as we move further into the future. The chamber thanks San Fernando Middle school for the use of the facilities, and we also thank all those who attended. If you missed the event, no problem. The chamber recorded the event and its now available on-line for your viewing. Just click here to see and hear the event. And thanks for being a part of the San Fernando City Chamber of Commerce.
